New Visions: Pathways in Education Parent Info Night

Parents of students interested in attending Questar III’s New Visions: Pathways in Education program for the 2024 – 2025 school year are invited to join us for a Parent Information Night at 7pm on January 11th on Zoom! This is a chance to learn more about the program, meet the teacher, and learn about the enrollment process.

The Questar III New Visions programs provide high school seniors with valuable insight into career options from a real-world perspective. A 1-year, honors-level program, New Visions turns area businesses, healthcare facilities, and government buildings into classrooms for highly motivated, academically successful students.

During this half-day program, New Visions students learn and explore through mentoring, internships, interaction with professionals, group discussion, and creative projects. Each program provides specific 12th-grade course requirements and the opportunity to earn college credits.

Our Pathways in Education program is based at UAlbany. This program focuses on preparing students for a career in education. Classwork covers educational topics and incorporates hands-on experiences, including observations, shadowing, and internships with inspiring education professionals. Students will gain an understanding of educational theory and practice, develop skills to address diverse learning styles, and explore and identify their education career goals.
