On May 2, 2024, two Questar III BOCES New Visions: Business, Finance, and Marketing students were recognized as outstanding business education students from their respective schools. The event hosted by the Business and Marketing Educators’ Association of the Capital District, recognizes students from area schools for their academic achievements, citizenship, and positive attitude. Thomas Gibson from Chatham Central School District and Ryan Carter from Catskill Central School District were both recognized from their home districts and are both New Visions: Business, Finance, and Marketing students. The event included an awards dinner with students from around the capital region, their families, and teachers. It also included a keynote address from Kirk Kneller from The Kneller Insurance Agency.
The New Visions: Business, Finance, and Marketing program is an honors level, seniors only program, giving students valuable insight into career options from a real-world perspective. Located on the Columbia-Greene Community College campus, the program focuses on providing students with a comprehensive overview of the fields of business, finance, and marketing, giving exposure to various career options available with businesses both in the private and public sectors.
