George Washington School
Welcome to George Washington School!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
George Washington School is committed to providing students with a therapeutic and positive educational environment, so they will reach their greatest potential. This year we will aim to build upon our family and community partnerships to improve academic, social/emotional and behavioral outcomes for children. We plan to coordinate fun events and informational workshops to encourage family engagement!
We remain focused on promoting literacy and academic skills with 21st century practices as well as exciting events and initiatives. This year we will be concentrating on the integration of the New York State Education Social Emotional Learning and Mental Health Standards awareness into our program. Please continue to reference our GWS monthly newsletter for sections devoted to providing tips and activities that will help start the discussion on mental health.
A crucial factor in any student’s success is family involvement. I look forward to working in partnership with you to provide an enriching educational experience. Please feel free to contact me at 518-283-5752 with any questions or concerns. I am very excited for the opportunity to be a part of your child’s school experiences and am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
