Commercial Driver’s License – Class B – Theory Instruction – Permit Preparation Class
Course Description
This course is designed to assist students in preparing for the written Commercial Learner’s Permit test with the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. Students seeking a CDL will also need this course to meet the Federal mandate for “Theory Instruction”. During this class students will be given a CDL permit test manual and the instructor will review all material with them. They will also spend time running through safety checks with the dump trucks and preparing for all pre-driving test components. Students do not need any prior experience to take this course, however, they do need a valid driver’s license. Please note that, the Commercial Learner’s Permit and Commercial Driver’s License will be issued directly by NYS DMV. The student is responsible for all documentation and fees required by NYS DMV.
