New Visions: Scientific Research and World Health Parent Info Night

January 18 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Parents of students interested in attending Questar III’s New Visions: Scientific Research and World Health program for the 2024 – 2025 school year are invited to join us for a Parent Information Night at 7pm on January 18th on Google Meet! This is a chance to learn more about the program, meet the teacher, and learn about the enrollment process.

The Questar III New Visions programs provide high school seniors with valuable insight into career options from a real-world perspective. A 1-year, honors-level program, New Visions turns area businesses, healthcare facilities, and government buildings into classrooms for highly motivated, academically successful students.

During this half-day program, New Visions students learn and explore through mentoring, internships, interaction with professionals, group discussion, and creative projects. Each program provides specific 12th-grade course requirements and the opportunity to earn college credits.

Our Scientific Research and World Health program is based at UAlbany’s Health Sciences Campus in Rensselaer. This program allows students to explore cutting-edge biomedical research and pressing health concerns. Students engage with scientists and public health professionals from academic, private industry, and governmental agencies. They ask research questions while exploring problems in health and biomedicine, presenting their work at a professional level. Students learn how scientific principles are utilized to understand and cure diseases. Learn more about this program here.

Join us on Thursday, January 18th at 7pm for our Parent Information Night on Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/ndq-atzk-vxh

The application deadline to attend a New Visions program next year is Saturday, February 10th. Applications can be found here.
