Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance


This two-year program is based on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. Students will learn how to operate and maintain large, construction-related equipment. Types of equipment may include backhoes, dozers, front end loaders, excavators, and forklifts. Students will also learn how to diagnose and repair common issues with diesel engines and heavy machine operation. View the program flyer here.

Technical Assessment

NCCER Heavy Equipment Operator’s Certification Level 1
Pass ALL 3 parts of the technical assessment: written, performance and portfolio.
