Students from Robert H. Gibson Technical School
The Questar III BOCES Youth Apprenticeship Program links students with local, high-wage, high-demand, high-skill careers. Thanks to our partnerships with many area businesses, students in Automotive Technologies, Construction Technologies, Heavy Equipment Repair and Operations, and HVAC programs have an opportunity to complete over 200 hours of paid, on-the-job training in their respective trade the summer between their junior & senior years. These students are recognized at our annual “Matching Day”. Additionally, we recognize any graduating seniors who are accepting employment from the same company they were matched with the year prior with our “Signing Day”.
This year, a total of 29 students across Questar III BOCES participated in our Youth Apprenticeship Program Signing & Matching Day events. Congratulations to the students participating, and thank you to the business partners supporting our students!
