Our class at Ichabod Crane High School celebrated the end of the 2018-2019 school year with its annual commencement and service-learning awards ceremony on June 21.

Beth St. Clair-Bedell’s class at Ichabod Crane High School held its annual commencement and service-learning awards ceremony on June 21, 2019.

Staff from the Valatie Free Library, Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing at Barnwell, Mud Creek Environmental Learning and Ichabod Crane CSD recognized students for their weekly support of their programs – and the indelible mark they left on others. In fact, Barnwell resident Ernie Gilbert attended and wished the students well.

Questar III School Counselor and Transition Coordinator Sally Lauletta served as the featured speaker. She reminded students to stay focused on five things – dedication, patience, hard work, teamwork and loving what you do.

Kayla Wells received her diploma from Bettina Young, the school psychologist at Catskill CSD. Ichabod Crane High School Principal Craig Shull also presented Kayla with a medal of achievement and said she would forever be an Ichabod Crane Rider.

Kayla delivered remarks about her experiences in the program with her friends. Her and her classmates ended the ceremony with a song and a reception in their classroom.
