New Visions: STEM Parent Info Night

January 16 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Parents of students interested in attending Questar III’s New Visions: STEM program for the 2024 – 2025 school year are invited to join us for a Parent Information Night at 7pm on January 16th on Zoom! This is a chance to learn more about the program, meet the teacher, and learn about the enrollment process.

The Questar III New Visions programs provide high school seniors with valuable insight into career options from a real-world perspective. A 1-year, honors-level program, New Visions turns area businesses, healthcare facilities, and government buildings into classrooms for highly motivated, academically successful students.

During this half-day program, New Visions students learn and explore through mentoring, internships, interaction with professionals, group discussion, and creative projects. Each program provides specific 12th-grade course requirements and the opportunity to earn college credits.

Our STEM program is based at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy. This program is an ideal choice for students planning to attend an undergraduate program in engineering or the physical sciences. By blending practical experience with classroom instruction, students are exposed to various engineering fields, research, applied mathematics, technology, and the sciences. Students participate in laboratory experiments, interact with college faculty and industry professionals, and learn about a wide range of career and education opportunities in STEM fields. Learn more about the program here.

Join us on Tuesday, January 16th at 7pm for our Parent Information Night on Zoom:

The application deadline to attend a New Visions program next year is Saturday, February 10th. Applications can be found here.
