Description

At Questar III, we collaborate with multiple component districts to provide comprehensive support through our Home Instruction Service. Districts participating this school year include: Berlin, Cairo-Durham, Coxsackie-Athens, Germantown, Greenville, Hoosic Valley, Hoosick Falls, New Lebanon, North Greenbush, Schodack, Troy, and Wynantskill.

Home Instruction Support Services (COSER 518.010)

• Ensuring homeschooled students meet academic requirements as per NYS Commissioner’s Regulations 100.10
• Coordinating receipt and review of required documentation:
  • Letter of Intent (LOI)
  • Individualized Home Instruction Plan (IHIP)
  • Quarterly Reports (1-4)
  • Annual Assessment (100.10, h)
• Assisting parents with questions regarding Home Instruction requirements
• Compiling and maintaining records for districts and individual homeschooled students
• Regularly notifying districts on the compliance status of homeschool programs

Families homeschooling their students are encouraged to use the online portal for submission of required documents.
