The Questar III BOCES Fundraising Committee raised $34,397.90 to benefit the organization’s Education Foundation through its third annual golf tournament. More than 110 golfers attended the August 21 event at Burden Lake Country Club in Averill Park, with more than 40 local businesses supporting the tournament through sponsorships and donations. The organization also hosted an Online Auction to support the event.

The school store at Donald R. Kline Technical School is completely managed by NYSAA students. It allows them to develop workplace skills, including inventory management, customer service, handling money, and more.
Proceeds provide funding for student enrichment opportunities that are not covered by the BOCES budget or Extraclassroom Activities Fund, and support students in need, ensuring they have the materials required for their program when financial barriers might otherwise limit access. Recent examples of how funds were used include supporting Career and Technical Education students who attended the SkillsUSA National Conference, and providing start-up funding for NYSAA students at Donald R. Kline Technical School to launch a school store, providing a work-based learning opportunity that is now managed by students. Teachers should speak to their principals to request funding; principals can apply on their behalf by submitting a Mini-Grant application.

- Second Place: Kevin Nicoll, Robert Lee, Sean Kenney, and Dave Hart
