Topics included: Governor’s Budget Analysis: Understanding projections, including updated projections for Foundation Aid based on the 2/15/26 database, proposed changes to the Universal Prekindergarten program and how it is budgeted in the Executive Budget as well as other changes the Governor has proposed that may affect your district for renewable energy projects.
In addition, we discussed why so many districts are seeing their aid ratios changing for 26-27 and what is driving those changes. Additionally, we discussed how charter school students are funded, how aid is generated, and what your district needs to consider as you finalize your 26-27 budgets.
