Questar III School Library System works to support school districts and school librarians in building and sustaining amazing library programs to benefit all students.
District Model Schools Services and Codes
Itinerant Librarian (COSER 523.010)
Request a certified, part-time school librarian, who will be responsible for managing the needs of the library, collaborate with teachers and work with students to provide inquiry-based learning opportunities. This service requires two participating districts.
Multimedia (COSER 511.020)
This service offers multimedia resources that align with the New York State Learning Standards in all content areas. These resources support curricula, enrich instruction and accommodate diverse learning styles.
Coordinated Cooperative Collection Development (COSER 514.010)
Districts can participate in this service that provides cooperation, coordination or sharing in the development and management of collections by two or more libraries.
Library Automation (COSER516.010)
This service offers districts consortium pricing for the purchase of vetted online databases that provide students and teachers with reliable, curriculum-aligned resources both at school and home. Databases provide access to high-quality information from various sources, including:Professional journals, magazines, newspapers, electronic encyclopedias, both general and subject-specific, curriculum-specific materials, images, videos, other online resources, including open educational resources and vetted websites. Included with this service: professional development to support best practices for integration and updates and streamlined communication and customer service for all products.
Districts may also participate in the regional library automation service, which provides web-hosted automation service, cataloging, technical support and customer service.
