Questar III’s Adult Literacy and Workforce Development programs are designed to unlock student potential and connect individuals with meaningful employment opportunities that recognize their skills, talents, and abilities. Programs are tailored to meet the diverse needs of adult learners, preparing them to succeed in a competitive, global job market.
Offerings include English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), High School Equivalency (HSE) preparation, Adult Literacy classes, and Workforce Development training. With multiple regional locations, Questar III makes it convenient and affordable for adults to build the education and training they need to succeed.

Adult Literacy and Workforce Development (COSER 427.010)
Questar III provides a comprehensive suite of adult education services, including:
- High School Equivalency (HSE), Pre-HSE, and Adult Basic Education instruction
- English as a New Language (ENL) classes
- A NYS Education Department-designated HSE Testing Center
- Access to the Official Practice Test for the HSE exam
Workforce development training is also available, providing individualized support and skill-building to help adults transition into careers. Many programs offer tuition assistance, and all are designed to align with employer needs and student goals. Program staff assist with assessments and placement to ensure participants are matched with the right educational path.
