NYSTRS Estimated Range for the Next Employer Contribution Rate

Administrative Bulletin 2025-10, issued August 2025, informed you that the Retirement Board adopted an Employer Contribution Rate (ECR) of 9.59% of payroll. This ECR is applicable to fiscal year 2025-26 NYSTRS member salaries and will be collected in September, October and November 2026. Based on preliminary results from the June 30, 2025 actuarial valuation, they anticipate the ECR for the next year to be between 8.25% and 8.75% of member payroll. This ECR will apply to fiscal year 2026-27 NYSTRS member salaries and will be collected in the fall of 2027. A more precise ECR will be issued in a January 2026 Administrative Bulletin.
