Questar III BOCES is pleased to announce that Andrew Jensen has been promoted to Director of Technology following the retirement of Chad Goodfellow.
“I’m honored to take on this new role,” shared Andrew Jensen. “A few years ago, I served as a teaching assistant for a day, and it gave me a unique perspective of how technology can be both a solution and a challenge in the classroom. That experience is one of the reasons I’m so passionate about providing the tools and support that work seamlessly for students, staff, and our districts. I’m excited to build on that experience and find innovative ways to make a positive impact.”
Jensen joined Questar III BOCES in 2018 and has held several positions within the Technology Services Department, most recently as the Assistant Director of Technology. Jensen has successfully led a team of professionals, focusing on staff development, department organization, and implementation of innovative solutions to enhance technology services across our schools and component districts.
“Andrew’s promotion to Director of Technology is a testament to his dedication, leadership, and commitment to innovation,” said Questar III BOCES District Superintendent, Dr. Gladys Cruz. “His expertise will ensure our Technology Department continues to support our students, staff, and component districts while safeguarding our systems and sensitive data.”
Prior to joining the organization, Jensen served as an IT Support Manager and ran his own IT consulting business, Albany IT, LLC, supporting small businesses and community organizations. He’s also held management positions with the City of Albany’s technology and operations for critical infrastructure.
