DISTANCE LEARNING PARTNERSHIP
Through a partnership with NERIC, Questar III school districts can join a regional distance learning community. This community shares programs through distance learning technologies, including a state-of-the-art, high-definition interactive video system. School districts use this system to teach courses simultaneously to students in different school buildings and virtual locations. Additional details can be found at NERIC Distance Learning.

ONLINE LEARNING
Online Learning opportunities offer school districts options to address increased requirements, limited resources, personnel shortages, and scheduling conflicts. Online Learning is conducted over the Internet, providing personalized and highly flexible access and support. Questar III collaborates with various vendors to offer schools options for credit accrual and credit recovery.
Virtual Learning Academy (VLA)
Our Virtual Academy provides credit accrual/first-time credit for various courses, including English 9-12, Global History & Geography 9 & 10, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, US History and Government, Participation in Government, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Spanish 1 & 2, Financial Literacy, Personal Finance, Personal Communications, Media Literacy, Computer Science, Earth Science, Living Environment, Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Health. Virtual Credit Recovery/Course Intervention
Our Credit Recovery program allows students to receive course credit (not for first-time credit). This service uses online courseware. Teachers employed by Questar III are NYS-certified subject-level teachers. Students typically complete the coursework in a school computer lab or may be assigned a self-paced course. This option may also be used for struggling students taking a course for the first time as an intervention/support to help them pass critical high school courses.

Virtual Summer School Grades 7-12
This service allows school districts to offer students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to make up failed or incomplete coursework from the regular school year. The 6-week program uses online courseware, along with scheduled 2-hour video class sessions twice per week with their virtual teacher. Teachers employed by Questar III are NYS certified subject-level teachers. Course offerings may include English 9-12, Global History & Geography 9 & 10, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, US History and Government, Participation in Government, Economics, Spanish 1 & 2, Earth Science, Living Environment, Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Health.
