Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at the Columbia-Greene Educational Center!  Faculty and staff are excited to welcome both new and returning students on the first day of classes, Thursday, September 6th.  In addition to our regular outstanding Career/Technical and Career Studies Programs, we are also delighted to welcome two new programs starting this year:  Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance and Emergency Medical Technician & Health Careers.

Parents and students should have received a welcome letter with details regarding the start of school.  Just a reminder, class times in our Center are as follows:  Morning Session 8:15 am – 10:45 am, Afternoon Session:  11:15 am – 1:45 pm.  Although classes begin next week, our principal Jake Stomieroski and school counselor Caitlin Preisner, along with our fantastic office staff, are in our Center this week getting ready for opening day, so if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call at 518-828-4157 and we will be glad to assist you.

At the CGEC, we are looking forward to working together as a team with students, parents, teachers and staff to assist students on the start of what we hope will be their career pathways to future success.  We’re planning on having a great year, and hope you are too!  In addition to the Questar website, one of the best ways to see some of the terrific activities in our Center is to follow us on Twitter at @QlllCareerTech.  Happy Labor Day Weekend!
