Hospitality & Lodging / Skills, Tasks and Results Training (START)
This two-year program trains students for entry-level careers within the hospitality and lodging industry through real-world knowledge, skills, and job training. Students can also earn professional certification from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute’s START program.
Characteristics of a successful student
- A strong interest in some or all course material
- Open-minded, eager to learn about new things
- Excellent attendance
- Interest and some ability in technical area
- Parental support of the Career Studies program
