Career Expo set for May 7

Career Expo 2013, to be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at Birch Hill in Castleton, NY, will focus on careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Questar III’s Community Education classes are a great way to learn a new skill, gain additional training or have fun while meeting other adults in the community. Courses such as basic auto repair, welding and personal computing are offered at Columbia-Greene Educational Center in Hudson.

English class speaks with “Freedom Writer”

Students in Questar III’s Alternative Learning Program (ALP) studied the book “The Freedom Writers Diary” as part of their English language arts (ELA) classes. They later had the opportunity to connect with one of the book’s authors.
