Questar III BOCES is pleased to announce Jennie Mueller as the new Principal of Questar III & HVCC STEM High School and Robin Sobol Transition Academy.
“I love the uniqueness of what students can accomplish at STEM High School, and I’m very excited to partner with HVCC and support our students as they create pathways to a brighter future,” said Mueller.
Mueller comes to us from Greenwich CSD, where she has served as the elementary school principal since January 2017. Jennie previously served as an assistant principal in Hudson Falls CSD and Queensbury CSD. Before her positions as principal, she taught kindergarten, fourth grade, fifth grade, and provided academic intervention services in math for 10 years.
“Jennie’s experience, personality, and values make her the ideal person to be the next leader of STEM High School,” said Questar III Associate Superintendent Dr. James Niedermeier. “We truly believe that STEM HS is on the precipice of something special—a truly integrated early college high school model that will offer students a seamless and inexpensive transition from K-12 through college to employment. Jennie will help shepherd the school from where it is now to where it can be.”
“We look forward to working with Principal Mueller to advance and expand opportunities at the Questar III and HVCC STEM High School. Since opening just a few years ago, the school has grown tremendously and become a model for student success and educational pathway programs. Its students, teachers and staff members have enriched and strengthened our college community, and we welcome Principal Mueller to build on the school’s tradition of innovation, service and success,” said Louis Coplin, Officer in Charge at Hudson Valley Community College.
Mueller also has experience working with students in higher education as an adjunct professor at Skidmore College and as a student teaching supervisor at the College of Saint Rose.
