Congratulations to STEM High School 10th grader Shayla Hense (Greenville) for winning first place in the FPSPI (Future Problem Solving Program International) New York State writing competition! On May 3rd a representative from FPSPI presented Shayla with an award at STEM High School with her family and classmates in attendance. The winners of the competition get to attend the FPSI conference at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in June. At the conference Shayla will be submitting a second scenario writing piece into the competition and will be attending worships with other winners from all over the world.

We spoke to Shayla and her English teacher Ms. Melanie Powzyk about the competition.
