Career and Technical Education Students Take Home Seven Medals at SkillsUSA NYS Competition

Questar III BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) students earned a total of seven medals over six competitions, and two Quality Chapter of Excellence Awards, across our three technical schools in Troy, Hudson and Durham, NY at the SkillsUSA New York State competition in Syracuse, NY.

April 26 – 28, students who placed at the Area III Regional competition in March had the opportunity to compete amongst their peers from across the state in fields including Criminal Justice, HVAC, Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment, Culinary, and more.

The SkillsUSA Championships are an opportunity for students to showcase their skills with the best career and technical education students across the nation. Through the championship, students are presented with many opportunities for growth and are rewarded for their excellence.

We couldn’t be more proud of the students who participated, and would like to congratulate all those who placed at the state wide tournament. We would also like to congratulate Patrick Stark from the Marilyn A. Noonan School at Durham who will be heading to the SkillsUSA National Championship in Atlanta, GA this June!
