On Wednesday, January 26, 2022 Questar III BOCES invites prospective students and families to a virtual information night to learn more about Questar III and the HVCC STEM High School. This is a free event, and is open to all incoming ninth grade students, and their families in Rensselaer County.
The STEM High School combines the best elements of high-school, college and work-based learning. Students will explore their interests in pathways including Computer Info Systems, Engineering, Environmental Science and Health Sciences. Throughout their time at STEM they will get mentoring by teachers in the field, go on worksite visits, and hear from experienced speakers.
The high school provides students with a head start on earning high school and college credit while exploring innovative careers locally. Students can earn up to 63 college credits, apply for internships, and have the opportunity to earn an Associate of Applied Science degree.
