We wanted to follow-up on yesterday’s announcement about Catskill Academy, Maple Hill and the Auto Services program at the Columbia-Greene Educational Center going remote today to complete contact tracing. At this time, all impacted students and staff who were identified as a close contact in these cases have been contacted and directed to quarantine. If individuals were not contacted by a representative of Questar III or Department of Health, there is no further action on their part.

Catskill Academy and Maple Hill will resume in-person instruction tomorrow except for those students and staff who have been directed to quarantine. Those students and staff will continue with remote instruction until they are cleared to return to school by the county.

The morning and afternoon Auto Services program at Columbia-Greene Educational Center will be remote through December 15. Students in the a.m. program will be remote but not subject to quarantine.

All students or staff directed to quarantine due to close contact to a positive case or that have been required to isolate due to a positive COVID-19 test must provide proof of release by their local health department before they can return to school.

We continue to follow state and local guidance to ensure that we are doing everything we can to protect the health and safety of our students and staff. Please continue to follow all health and safety guidelines so together we can protect one another and keep our schools and offices open. This includes completing our daily health questionnaire prior to coming to work, wearing face coverings or masks, keeping physical distancing, washing your hands, avoiding mass gatherings and travel to high positivity states, staying home if you are sick, and asking questions if you need clarification or something does not seem right.
