Questar III has been notified of several positive COVID-19 cases in our buildings:

  • Columbia-Greene Educational Center student – last in the building on November 20, therefore, no contact tracing or quarantine is necessary in this case.
  • Columbia-Greene Educational Center student – last in the building on December 1. Out of an abundance of caution, the auto services class will be remote tomorrow (December 9) to complete contact tracing.
  • Catskill Academy student – last in the building on December 1. Out of an abundance of caution, the school will be remote tomorrow (December 9) to complete contact tracing.
  • Maple Hill special education program staff member – last in the building on December 4. Out of abundance of caution, the school will be remote tomorrow (December 9) to complete contact tracing.

While we understand that you might like additional details, due to privacy laws, we cannot release any identifiable information about the individuals or affected students.

Questar III is working closely with the Columbia and Rensselaer County Departments of Health (DOH) to conduct thorough contact tracing for these cases. If you are not contacted by a representative of the BOCES or DOH, there is no further action needed on your part.

We are working in close partnership with our public health partners and will continue to follow state and local guidance regarding our response to the ongoing pandemic. Please be reminded that we must all work together to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Families members can assist our efforts by wearing masks, social distancing, washing your hands, limiting your exposure from others outside your household (including avoiding group gatherings), and staying home if you or your child are sick.
