The following message was emailed to families in our Maple Hill Educational Center program today.
This communication is to inform you of a positive COVID-19 case among staff at Questar III’s Maple Hill Educational Center. A staff member at our Maple Hill program tested positive for COVID-19. However, this individual has not been physically present in school since October 2, 2020.
Per our Health and Safety protocols Questar III BOCES has been in communication with the Rensselaer County Department of Health to determine any necessary follow-up. The county is continuing to investigate at this time. However, based on preliminary conversations with the DOH, there appears to be no contact tracing required at Maple Hill due to the staff member’s extended absence from school. If anything changes, we will send a follow-up communication. School will reopen on Tuesday, as scheduled.
Due to privacy requirements, we cannot divulge any further information about any individual who has a confirmed case of COVID-19.
We ask that all families continue to follow all safety guidelines outside of school hours. We also remind you to please complete the daily health screening form for your child prior to sending them to school.
