Today, the Rensselaer City School District informed parents and guardians that a student in Van Rensselaer Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19.
Please note that this has no impact on Rensselaer Academy, which is located on the school district’s campus. Our program has little to no contact with any classes at Rensselaer City at this time. The county, working with the school district, has found that exposure was limited to a single classroom at Van Rensselaer (and these individuals will quarantine for the next two weeks).
Rensselaer Academy will continue to utilize its protocols, including the temperature checks, the wearing of masks, social distancing, and cleaning and disinfecting. We also remind you to please complete the daily screening form for your child prior to sending them to school.
