On July 20th SED released information on the application process for school districts to apply for $1.2 billion in Federal CARES Act funding. Eligible school districts are required to submit a single CARES Act Combined Funding Application for both ESSER and, if applicable, GEER, funding using the online SED Monitoring and Vendor Reporting System. Completed applications are due by August 15, 2020; however, extensions will be granted by request. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
