Districts are still required to mail out a budget notice after the budget hearing but no later than 6 days prior to the June 9th budget vote date. We are encouraging districts to use the 2019-20 template that is posted on the State Education Department website (link to template near the bottom of the page) and make the following changes:
- Change Years to 2019-20 and 2020-21
- Change in Consumer Price Index: 1.81%
- Update wording at the bottom of the notice regarding this year’s budget vote process
Districts should check with their school attorney regarding any questions about dates or wording.
