A message from Ms. Remillard:

As winter lingers on, students at GWS continue to learn together while having some fun! Last month we had our first winter concert, hosted by Mark Rust.  Students and families were able to enjoy a night of song, dance and laughter!

February brings about the start of the 3rd quarter and we are officially halfway through the school year!  In addition, annual reviews are beginning to take place for our students.  If you have questions, please be sure to reach out to your child’s teacher to set up a time to discuss concerns, your child’s report card and/or IEP recommendations

Our Skill of the Month for January was “Setting Goals” which was showcased at our first PBIS Assembly of the new year.  Last month our students who demonstrated exemplary behavior were treated to a dance party! We also had a blast at our annual Winterfest!  Students enjoyed STEAM activities and were also able to get outside, enjoy fresh air and play in the snow!

We are so proud of the hard work coming from our GWS Student Council.  They coordinated a “Make-a-Wish” event and raised $131 to benefit children in the Capital Region!
