A message from Ms. Remillard:

The month of October brought many fun events to George Washington School. This past week we celebrated our first Spirit week which included the fall fest activities, and a costume parade! We held our first field trip to Windy Hill Orchard, learned crucial fire safety tips from Mountainview Fire department, and practiced a lockdown drill. We also participated in Anti-Bullying spirit week!

At GWS our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)Skill of the month for October was “Be your Best Self.”  Students who consistently demonstrated the 3 B’s enjoyed a Waffle Bar Breakfast. In November, we will be showcasing “Managing Emotions” as our skill of the month. In tune with Thanksgiving, Capital Region Basket Brigade is again donating complete thanksgiving meals to each GWS family. Please expect these baskets to be coming home on the 25th!

Spooky sensory exploration at work guessing the mystery substances.
