The NYSED Medicaid in Education Unit released an announcement dated August 16, 2018 regarding additional information and guidance on the submission of 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 Certified Public Expenditure Forms (CPE) to the NYS Department of Health.

Additional guidance is provided in the following areas:

  • Optional Additional Attestation Language
  • Optional Additional Documentation regarding the Medicaid Cost Reporting and Claiming System (MCRCS)
  • Supporting documentation SSHP providers can maintain of 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-16 Cost Reports

Please see http://www.oms.nysed.gov/medicaid/medicaid_alerts/alerts_2018/ for full details and explanations of the above guidance.  This alert also includes an updated, FINAL due date of Friday, August 31, 2018,  for those who have not yet submitted these required forms or wish to provide additional information regarding their cost reports. PCG must receive all CPE forms no later than this date.  Failure to return the completed CPE forms may result in withholding of future SSHP interim payments.

The completed CPE form must be signed by the Chief Executive Office, Chief Fiscal Officer, or Superintendent of the school district.  If you have not yet submitted certified and signed CPE forms, districts are reminded to have these forms signed by one of the designated signatories listed.  Printed and signed CPE forms should be submitted via email to nysshsp@pcgus.com.  If email is not an available option, please contact PCG to request the appropriate address to mail the form.
