On April 17, component school districts’ boards of education voted 21-1 to approve Questar III’s proposed $6.3 million administrative budget for the 2018-2019 school year. This is the only portion of the BOCES budget that component school districts vote on each year.
Component school boards also voted to fill three BOCES Board of Education positions.
Questar III BOCES Board Members Paul Puccio (Schodack CSD) and Frank Zwack (Berlin CSD) were unanimously reelected to three-year terms starting July 1.
Additionally, Mark Mann (East Greenbush CSD) was unanimously elected to a three-year term starting July 1. He will replace Carol Orvis, who is retiring after 28 years of service on the Questar III Board.
All component school districts are required by law to vote on the BOCES administrative budget on the same day.
