Courtney Morris finished ninth for the Nurse Assisting contest at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, KY June 19-23.

Morris, a June 2017 graduate of Maple Hill High School in Schodack, attended Questar III’s Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program at Rensselaer Educational Center during her senior year.

She credits the instruction of her teacher, Kelley Shader as well as the support of her class for her success.

Morris missed the awards ceremony on June 23. She left Louisville following the competition so she could attend her graduation at Maple Hill.

Looking ahead, Morris will attend Russell Sage College to earn a Bachelor of Nursing degree.

Questar III students have had a history of success at the regional, state and national level. This is the second year in a row that a Questar III student has placed in the top 10 nationally. It also marks the thirteenth year in a row that a Questar III student has placed in the top three in New York State.

Congratulations Courtney!
