Local students interested in high school programs available through Questar III BOCES are invited to upcoming open houses.

Questar III’s Rensselaer Educational Center in Troy welcomes 9th and 10th grade students and their parents/guardians to its annual open house from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13 (snow date January 14).

Questar III’s Columbia-Greene Educational Center in Hudson welcomes 9th and 10th grade students and their parents/guardians to its annual open house from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3 (snow date February 4).

The January 13 and February 3 open houses give parents and students the opportunity to learn about hands-on programs available to high school students in Rensselaer, Columbia and Greene counties. This includes Career and Technical Education, New Visions and Career Studies. A special info session for prospective New Visions applicants and their parents will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. For more information on programs, please click here.

Tech Valley High School, a joint venture of Questar III and Capital Region BOCES, is also holding information sessions for interested students. Attendance at one of these sessions by the prospective student and a parent is mandatory for those who plan to apply for the 2016-17 school year.

The information sessions for the 2016-17 school year are scheduled as follows:

  • Wednesday, January 13, 2016, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Tech Valley High School TVHS, 246 Tricentennial Drive, Albany, NY.
  • Thursday, January 14, 2016, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Schoharie Junior/Senior High School 136 Academy Drive, Schoharie NY.
  • Wednesday, January 20, 2016, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hudson Intermediate School 102 Harry Howard Ave., Hudson, NY.
  • Monday, February 1, 2016, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Tech Valley High School TVHS, 246 Tricentennial Drive, Albany, NY.
  • Thursday, February 4, 2016, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Tech Valley High School TVHS, 246 Tricentennial Drive, Albany, NY.
