Substitute Calling Service

Questar III coordinates two separate substitute calling services, the substitute calling clerk service and the SubFinder service.

Questar III's Substitute Calling Clerk Service arranges substitutes for employees requiring coverage in the East Greenbush school district. This service uses caller clerks that retrieve messages left by staff who report absences. The caller clerks then phone substitutes to fill vacancies using a call list provided by the school district.

Questar III's Aesop service is an automated system which allows school district staff to report absences by phone or online. The automated system then places calls to substitutes based on employee request and substitute availability. Current participating school districts include Questar III, Brittonkill, Cairo-Durham, Catskill, Chatham, Greenville, New Lebanon, and Troy City school districts.
