Challenge Intensive (6:1:1)

Questar III’s Challenge Intensive program provides a highly structured and intensive educational option for students with emotional disabilities requiring significant behavioral management. Students in this program will have the opportunity to work towards achieving a Regents high school diploma while strengthening their social and emotional skills. The program focuses on developing and improving social skills, problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills. The Challenge Intensive program includes: behavior specialist consultation, crisis intervention support, psychiatric support, psychologist support, social worker support (including 1x30 group) and physical education or adaptive physical education, if appropriate, (3x40 group). Note: Questar III’s Challenge Intensive program runs September through June with extended year program as an option.The program is comprised of six students, one teacher, and one teaching assistant (6:1:1).
